Future Technology

Remember when you were a little child and thought that there would be flying cars and hover boards in the future? Well, the future is here, and while it may not have all that you hoped for, it does have a myriad of other technologies that will change the world.

Technology is a field that is changing and advancing by the minute. In recent years, it has developed to such a large extent that there is new device or gadget being developed every day. But the problem is that a lot of readers are not aware of these devices, so today I will be introducing you to the top ten future technologies. Let us take a look at each of them in detail.

  1. Human Organ Printing

Future Technology

Printing of actual human organs is sure to revolutionise the field of medical science. This can be used to save the lives of numerous people who do not have access to organ donors, or even if they do then their organs cannot be used. In some cases even if organ donors are present, their blood group might be different from the patient, which is a major problem. However, with human organ printing, all this will be a thing of the past. So far doctors have printed arteries and blood capillaries, ears, and nose; more vital organs like the heart and lungs are sure to follow suit.

  1. 760 mph Trains

Future Technology

Although this technology does not exist yet, Elon Musk is burning the midnight oil to make this dream a reality. This invention is perfect for anyone who despises commuting, and will considerably reduce the time taken for you to travel from one place to another.  The mechanism behind this train is a Hyperloop system, which Elon Musk is trying to develop. This will allow passengers to travel at a speed of 760 mph, which almost equal to the rate of a jetliner, in a vacuum tube. The train is propelled by compressed air and induction motors.  The train will primarily operate in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

  1. Aerofex Aero-X

The Aero-X is perfect for all Star Wars enthusiasts, like me, because it is the real life equivalent of the speeder bike from the acclaimed franchise.  This is the result of extensive research conducted over a period of 15 years. It is equipped with a water-cooled 240 hp engine and two rotors. It can accelerate to a speed of 45 miles per hour and hover at the height of 12 feet. In addition to this, Aerofex claims that as it has managed to overcome the coupling effect; hence, Aero-X is safe and reliable. You can purchase it in 2017 for a price of $85,000.

  1. Thought Controlled Prosthetics

future technology

Do you remember Doc Octopus from Spider-Man and his tentacles that he could control using his brain? Well, this might seem a bit unbelievable, but scientists at DARPA inside the Pentagon but have already achieved this marvellous feat. They have designed robotic arms that can be controlled using your thoughts via a chip in your brain.

  1. Prosthetics with a Sense of Touch

future technology

If you thought that mind-controlled prosthetics were not possible, you would be even more surprised to hear that one of the top ten future technologies is prosthetics that can feel the sense of touch.  The prosthetic connects itself directly to the remaining nerves, which entails that the feeling of touch can be controlled by you. Furthermore, the prosthetics can exert various levels of pressure, which means that you can even grab or hold something. However, one drawback of using such prosthetics is that electrodes will need to be implanted into your arm or hand.  Dennis Aabo Sorenson was the first man to test prosthetics with a sense of touch. As hard it might be to come to terms with this, assure yourself that this is indeed one of the top ten future technologies.

  1. Breathalyser Cars

Drinking and driving never go hand in hand; they are a lethal combination and can lead to endangerment of not only the driver’s life but also that of those around you. Hence, scientists are trying to develop a car that will test the alcohol level in the driver’s fingertips when he or she is touching the steering wheel. If the levels are too high, the car stops automatically.

  1. Cloaking Devices

As a child, I always wanted to know how it would feel like to own an invisibility cloak like Harry Potter. I honestly never thought that such an invention would be a reality. Scientists based in the UK have made stuff, like paperclips, invisible with the help of metamaterials.

  1. 3D Printed Food

This invention comes good news for all food lovers reading this. Now, you can say goodbye to those late night hunger pangs with the aid of 3D printed food. Biozoon, a company based in Germany is trying to create a range of 3D printable powder mixtures called seneoPro. The powder solidifies once it is printed and melts when consumed. The primary target for this device is elderly patients that find it difficult to swallow food. Although the benefits of this technology are many, the most important one is that lessens the risk of choking. Apart from this, the powders can be mixed with each other to create a variety of dishes with the help of food colours.

  1. The Internet for Everyone

Elon Musk is also trying to send almost 4,000 units of satellites into low-Earth orbit that would beam a high-speed signal to everyone on planet Earth. This would ensure that everyone in the world will have access to the internet. Musk plans on launching a series of test satellites into space soon; however, he has some serious competition in this regard from British billionaire, Richard Branson.

  1. Force Fields

Force fields are also one of the top ten future technologies that have come into existence. UK-based scientists have developed force fields derived from electromagnetic signals. These signals are capable of defending powerful attacks even from the strongest armies in the world. This invention is certainly something that all armies of the world learn so that they can protect themselves from external attacks.

This ends our list of top ten future technologies. I hope that this article was helpful in educating you regarding the numerous technological advances being made by science.
